Chicken Florentine Recipe-Learn How To Make This Classic Italian Dish

 

Chicken Florentine

Step by Step instructions to make Chicken Florentine, a classic comforting and decadent dish! Seared juicy chicken breasts cooked in a white wine, butter & creamy sauce, served over garlicy spinach

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Chicken breasts
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 3/4 cup Good quality white wine
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning - oregano, parsley, basil blend
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese - grated
  • 3 cups Spinach leaves
  • Salt & crushed black pepper to taste
  • Fresh Italian flatleaf parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place & cover chicken breasts with shrink wrap or waxed paper
  • Next flatten chicken breasts with a mallet/meat tenderizer
  • This will even it out to ensure consistent cooking
  • It will also make it tender by breaking down connect tissues
  • Next heat a nonstick or cast iron pan to medium high
  • Dredge chicken breasts in all purpose flour after shaking off excess flour
  • Now add 2 TBSP butter & 2 TBSP olive oil to pan
  • Place dredged chicken breasts to pan and sear for 4 mins on md heat
  • After 4 mins flip chicken breasts over and cook for 4 more minutes
  • Remove seared chicken breasts from pan, set aside
  • Add 2 more TBSP of butter to pan. Once butter has melted add garlic
  • Saute for 30 seconds then deglaze pan with good quality white wine
  • After a minute add heavy whipping cream. Mix well
  • Season sauce with Italian seasoning, salt & crushed black pepper
  • Add grated parmesan cheese, stir well
  • Sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley, mix well
  • At this point add fresh spinach leaves to sauce. Soon they will wilt down
  • Now add seared chicken breasts back to the pan
  • Cover with lid and let simmer on low heat for 4 minutes
  • Flip chicken breasts half way through the simmering process
  • Once done, remove lid, spoon some sauce on top of chicken breasts
  • Transfer to serving dish. Sprinkle with fresh parsley to garnish
  • Wallah! Your delicious Chicken Florentine is ready!

Chicken Florentine Notes:
You can alternatively cook spinach separately and layer chicken on top of it.

EASY TO MAKE & SO DELICIOUS! My Carne Asada tacos are made with skirt steak marinated in cumin powder, red chili powder, lime juice and salt. They are served on warm flour tortillas & garnished with onion, tomatillo salsa and cilantro. These tacos taste amazing!

Equipment

  • Bowl for Marinating Tacos, Grill Pan

Ingredients
  

For Cooking Carne Asada

  • 1 pound skirt steak - marinated in a bowl, covered overnight, or at least for 4 hours in refrigerator
  • 2 tbsp cooking/veg. oil

Ingredients For Marinating Skirt Steak

  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder - use less if you want it too spicy
  • salt to taste

Ingredients For Garnish

  • 6 tbsp tomatillo salsa - store bought or home made
  • 1/2 onion - chopped
  • some fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions
 

  • Cut skirt steak into large pcs so that it fits in a nonstick Grill Pan
  • Note: If you are going to grill it on a large outdoor grill you don't to cut it
  • Marinate skirt steak in marinade ingredients listed above
  • Next preheat a Grill Pan.
  • Once grill pan is smoking spray it with cooking oil
  • Now place skirt steak in grill pan
  • Grill in batches if necessary, for 2 minutes per side
  • Once skirt steak has nice sear and is cooked transfer to cutting board
  • Let the skirt steak rest for 5 minutes prior to slicing it
  • While steak is resting warm up 3 flour tortillas in a new pan
  • Place warm tortillas on a serving dish
  • Now slice the grilled Skirt Steak/Carne Asada against the grain
  • Put sliced skirt steak on top of the 3 tacos in equal portions
  • Garnish tacos with tomatillo salsa, chopped onion & fresh cilantro
  • Wallah! Your delicious Carne Asada Tacos are ready!

Grill Carne Asada/Skirt Steak before you are going to eat/serve the tacos. Do not refrigerate!

I have created a luxuriously decadent Tiramisu recipe for you! Lady fingers are first dipped in Espresso and Kahlua Liqueur, then smothered with a heavy cream-egg yolk-mascarpone cheese spread. Finally, dusted with cocoa powder and bittersweet gourmet chocolate shavings and left to chill in the fridge overnight. The outcome: a dish simply heavenly!

 

Tiramisu Recipe/How To Make Tiramisu

  • Glass mixing bowls, 11"x7" Glass serving dish

Ingredients
  

Ingredients For Creamy Spread

  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese

Ingredients for Tiramisu assembly

  • 3 cups good quality espresso coffee - room temperature
  • 4 tbsp Kahlua liqueur
  • 6 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder - for dusting
  • 40 pcs ladyfinger - biscotti
  • 6 squares bittersweet chocolate - shavings/grated

Instructions
 

  • Whip egg yolks and 1/2 cup granulated sugar with electric hand held mixer in a small bowl. The color should become pale yellow and quantity triple in volume
  • Next in a large bowl whip heavy cream and 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Now add mascarpone cheese to heavy cream/sugar mixture. Fold it in bit by bit with spatula, then whip everything together with hand held mixture
  • Now add egg yolk/sugar mixture to mascarpone cheese/cream and sugar mixture. Mix well
  • Final step before assembly: add Kahlua liqueur to Espresso Coffee in a shallow dish

Tiramisu Assembly

  • Dust bottom of glass serving dish with half the cocoa powder
  • Dip ladyfingers quickly in Espresso coffee/Kahlua mixture and lay them next to each other until whole tray is covered. About 20 ladyfingers
  • Spread half the heavy cream/mascarpone cheese/egg yolk mixture over the ladyfingers in the serving dish evenly
  • Repeat Step 2 & 3 again with 20 more ladyfingers and spread
  • Dust Tiramisu with remaining cocoa powder and top with bittersweet chocolate shavings
  • Cover serving dish with shrink wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours
  • Remove from fridge, cut into desire slices and transfer to serving dish

Wallah! Your amazingly delicious Tiramisu is ready! Bon Appetit!

    You can store Tiramisu in the fridge for few days. Just make sure its covered with plastic wrap of in a container with lid.
    I used Starbucks Espresso coffee beans to make espresso coffee &  Ghirardelli bitter sweet chocolate shavings for garnish
