Egg Foo Young With Sauce
I love Egg Foo Young! This mini omelets dish with sauce tastes fantastic! That is exactly what I have created for you.
Egg Foo Young
Equipment
- 1 Wok and/or non stick pan
Ingredients
Egg Foo Young Omelet Ingredients
- 6 eggs beaten/whisked
- 6 tbsp cooking/veg. oil
- 1 onion-chopped
- 1 green chili-chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 scallions-sliced thin diagonally
- 1/2 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
- 100 grams ground pork
- salt & crushed black pepper to taste
Egg Foo Young Sauce Ingredients
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1/2 tsp white pepper powder

Instructions to prepare Egg Foo Young Omelet Batter
- Mix all ingredients listed under Omelet, except cooking oil & ground, pork to a large bowl
- Add 1 tbsp cooking oil to wok or pan and cook ground pork 2 minutes or until cooked completely. Add to egg batter mixture & mix well with other ingredients
- Mix well, set aside
Instructions to make Omelets
- In a small preheated non stick pan add 1 tbsp cooking/veg.oil
- Once oil is hot add 1/2 cup of Egg Batter. Cook for 1 minute per side until omelet is ready. Repeat process until you have all omelets done. Yield 6 mini omelets
- Remove each omelet once is done to a serving platter. Repeat process until done
Instructions to Prepare Egg Foo Young Sauce
- In a small saucepan add all ingredients listed under Sauce preparation
- Mix well until sauce thickens and there are no lumps
- Once done spoon sauce over the mini omelets. Garnish with Scallion slices
