  • 1 Casserole dish or Mixing bowl
  • 1 Large Nonstick pan or skillet

Ingredients
  

Ingredients For Marinating Pork Chops

  • 1/4 Cup good quality Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup good quality olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp - dry thyme & rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp - Brown or regular sugar
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • Crushed black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Other Ingredients

  • 2 Center Cut Pork Chops - About 1.5 LB
  • 2 Tbsp cooking/veg. oil
  • 2 large cloves of garlic - minced
  • 1/4 cup good quality Bourbon
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Add & mix ingredients listed under Ingredients For Marinade. Set aside
  • Make cuts on the fat side on the pork chops so that they don't curve up
  • In a glass tray/bowl place the pork chops and drizzle all the marinade over it
  • Be sure to turn the pork chops so that both sides are coated with marinade
  • Cover with plastic wrap/film and refrigerate for 8 hours
  • After 8 hours remove pork chops from fridge and let them be at room temperature for 1 hour
  • Preheat a large nonstick pan/skillet on medium high and add cooking oil
  • Once oil is hot add pork chops and sear/cook them for 2 minutes per side
  • Remove seared pork chops from pan, set aside
  • Next add minced garlic to same pan
  • As soon as garlic begins to brown deglaze pan with bourbon
  • Once the Bourbon starts to reduce& thicken add butter
  • Swirl the pan to mix well then add pork chops back to pan
  • Sear for 30 seconds per side, smothering the pork chops with bourbon-butter sauce with a spoon, to give them a good glaze
  • Wala! You tender, juicy Bourbon Glaze Pork Chops are ready!
  • Transfer to serving dish by placing them over stir fried cabbage. Enjoy!
