Tiramisu Recipe/How To Make Tiramisu
I have created a luxuriously decadent Tiramisu recipe for you! Lady fingers are first dipped in Espresso and Kahlua Liqueur, then smothered with a heavy cream-egg yolk-mascarpone cheese spread. Finally, dusted with cocoa powder and bittersweet gourmet chocolate shavings and left to chill in the fridge overnight. The outcome: a dish simply heavenly!

Equipment
- Glass mixing bowls, 11"x7" Glass serving dish
Ingredients
Ingredients For Creamy Spread
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
Ingredients for Tiramisu assembly
- 3 cups good quality espresso coffee - room temperature
- 4 tbsp Kahlua liqueur
- 6 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder - for dusting
- 40 pcs ladyfinger - biscotti
- 6 squares bittersweet chocolate - shavings/grated
Instructions
- Whip egg yolks and 1/2 cup granulated sugar with electric hand held mixer in a small bowl. The color should become pale yellow and quantity triple in volume
- Next in a large bowl whip heavy cream and 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Now add mascarpone cheese to heavy cream/sugar mixture. Fold it in bit by bit with spatula, then whip everything together with hand held mixture
- Now add egg yolk/sugar mixture to mascarpone cheese/cream and sugar mixture. Mix well
- Final step before assembly: add Kahlua liqueur to Espresso Coffee in a shallow dish
Tiramisu Assembly
- Dust bottom of glass serving dish with half the cocoa powder
- Dip ladyfingers quickly in Espresso coffee/Kahlua mixture and lay them next to each other until whole tray is covered. About 20 ladyfingers
- Spread half the heavy cream/mascarpone cheese/egg yolk mixture over the ladyfingers in the serving dish evenly
- Repeat Step 2 & 3 again with 20 more ladyfingers and spread
- Dust Tiramisu with remaining cocoa powder and top with bittersweet chocolate shavings
- Cover serving dish with shrink wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours
- Remove from fridge, cut into desire slices and transfer to serving dish
