Chicken Wrap With Dipping Sauce

Chicken thigh pieces seasoned and cooked to perfection, then layer over flour tortilla & smothered with delicious home made sauce. A tasty dish that is a big favorite for adults & kids alike. This dish can be enjoyed at home or on the go!

Ingredients
  

Chicken Wrap Ingredients

  • 750 grams chicken thighs - cut into bite site pcs
  • 1 large flour tortilla
  • 2tbs cooking oil
  • 1tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2tsp red chili powder
  • 1tbs lemon juice
  • 1onion - chopped
  • 1/2 English Cucumber - diced
  • 1 green bell pepper/capsicum - thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Iceberg lettuce - chopped/shredded
  • 1tbs butter
  • 2tbs spread/dipping sauce - see ingredients below
  • salt to taste

Dipping Sauce Ingredients

  • 4tbsp whole milk yogurt
  • 2tbs mayonnaise
  • 1/2tsp red chili sauce with garlic - store bought
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

Preparing Veggies

  • Peel & cut onion, cucumber & bell pepper. Set aside in separate bowls

Cooking Chicken

  • Cut chicken thighs into bite size pcs. Set aside
  • Heat up cooking oil in nonstick pan on medium flame
  • Once oil is hot add chicken pcs
  • Saute chicken until light brown
  • Add ground cumin, red chili powder, salt & lemon juice
  • Now cover pan and let chicken cook on medium low for 7 minutes
  • Open lid and ensure chicken is cooked. Transfer to a bowl & set aside
  • While chicken is cooking lets make our spread/dipping sauce:

Making Dipping Sauce

  • In a bowl add yogurt, mayonnaise, hot sauce & salt. Mix well & set aside

Chicken Wrap Assembly & Crisping

  • Lay a large flour tortilla on the kitchen counter or chopping board
  • Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of spread/dipping sauce in the middle
  • Add 1/2 the cooked chicken pcs on top of spread
  • Next layer with lettuce, onion & bell pepper slices
  • Smother another tablespoon of sauce on top
  • Now fold the tortilla over the ingredients as shown in video above
  • Ensure that its a nice tight bundle. Your chicken wrap is almost ready
  • Finally, Add butter to hot pan. Place chicken wrap in pan. Brown on all sides
  • Transfer Chicken Wrap to serving dish
  • Slice chicken wrap into half for easy eating
  • Serve with remaining dipping sauce. Bon Appetit!
