KUNG PAO SHRIMP
Equipment
- Wok, Mixing Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 lbs large shrimp - peeled and deveined
- 1 onion - roughly chopped
- 1 cup portabella mushrooms - sliced
- 1/4 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp rice wine
- 1/4 tsp chili garlic sauce - Sambal or other brand
- salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl add shrimp, corn starch & white pepper & salt. Mix well & set aside.
- Heat a non stick Wok. Once heated add veg.oil to wok. Next add chopped onion, saute until translucent.
- Next add mushrooms and saute for a minute.
- Now add soy and hoisin sauces, rice wine, & chili garlic sauce. Mix well.
- Next add shrimp, mix well, saute for 2 minutes.
- Add salt and crushed black pepper to taste. Saute for 30 seconds.
- Wallah! Your King Pao Shrimp is done! Transfer to serving dish/bowl. Enjoy!
