How to make Couscous

Equipment
- Non stick pan
Ingredients
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 cup couscous grain
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese mix grated Parmesan cheese mix ed with 1 tbsp crumbled blue cheese, dry oregano and basil
- 3 tbsp chopped pine nuts
- 1 tsp red paprika
- salt and crushed black pepper to taste
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup kale chopped/chiffonade
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in non stick pan
- Add onions, saute for 2 minutes then add garlic, saute for a minute
- Next add couscous to the pan mixing it well with the onion garlic mixture, then add butter
- Mix well , add kale, salt, crushed black pepper & paprika. Stir well
- Now add water incorporating it with other ingredients in the pan. Cook for 2 minutes then remove from stove and cover with lid
- Take lid off after 2 minutes, by now all the moisture will have been absorbed by couscous
- Fluff couscous with a fork and transfer it to a plate
