Chicken Roulade With Boiled Eggs
Equipment
- 1 Mixing bowl For seasoning ground chicken
- 1 baking sheet For baking chicken roulade
- 1 Non stick pan For sautéing veggies
- 1 Saucepan/pot For boiling eggs
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1LB. ground chicken
- 3 eggs - boiled for 7 minutes then cooled off and peeled
Ingredients to season ground chicken
- 1/4 tsp roasted garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp dry basil & oregano
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp crushed black pepper
- 3/4 tsp salt to taste
- 2tbsp Italian or regular bread crumbs
- 1 Egg
Other Ingredients
- 1 tbsp cooking/veg. oil
- 1 onion - chopped
- 1 red bell pepper - chopped
- Salt & crushed black pepper to taste
- Pinch of red chili powder for garnish (optional)
- Ample water to boil 3 eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375* F
- In a bowl add ground chicken
- Add all ingredients for seasoning chicken to it. Mix well
- Spray a sheet of aluminum foil with Avocado oil or cooking oil
- Spread ground chicken mixture on it to form a rectangle
- Place the 3 boiled eggs on top of the ground chicken as shown in video
- Create a roll by folding ground chicken around the eggs with the help of the aluminum foil
- Wrap the roll/roulade in the aluminum foil to create a tight package
- Line a baking/cookie sheet with parchment paper
- Place the foil wrapped roll on top of it & bake at 375*F for minutes
- While chicken roulade is baking heat 1 tbsp cooking oil in pan
- Add chopped onion & bell pepper. Season with salt & crushed black pepper
- Stir fry for 3 minutes, then transfer to serving dish
- Next remove the chicken roll/roulade from oven and place it on cutting board. Remove foil and cut chicken roulade into round slices
- You should see boiled egg in each slice
- Place the sliced chicken roulade on top of stir fried onion & red bell pepper
- Sprinkle roulade with red chili powder (optional)
