Aloo Patta Gobhi/Kobi Bateta Nu Shaak/Potato Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 large potatoes cut into small pieces
- 1 head cabbage sliced thinly/chiffonade
- 4 tbsp veg.oil
- 1 tbsp mustard seeds Available at Indian grocery stores/Amazon
- 1 tbsp green chili/ginger paste Available at Indian grocery stores/Amazon
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder Available at Indian grocery stores/Amazon
- 1 tsp red chili powder Available at Indian grocery stores/Amazon
- 2 tbsp cum/coriander powder mix
- 1 pinch hing/asafoetida Available at Indian grocery stores/Amazon
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnish
- salt to taste
Instructions
- In a preheated pan add veg.oil. Once oil is hot add mustard seeds. Add hing/asafoetida once the mustard seeds start to pop.
- Now add green chili/ginger paste. Mix well then add potatoes and cabbage.
- Saute for 2 minutes then add turmeric & red chili powders, cumin/coriander powders. Mix well.
- Continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes more until potatoes are tender and cabbage is cooked.
- Finally, garnish with chopped cilantro and transfer to serving plate/bowl.
