How to make Italian sausage with onions and bell peppers

Equipment

  • Non stick pan

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 links spicy italian sausage available at most supermarkets
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper (capsicum) julienne
  • salt and crushed black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Add olive oil in heated pan, swirl pan to coat it evenly
  • Next add italian sausage to the pan, cook for about 3 minutes turning each side to get a good sear on all sides.
  • Now add water to the pan, cover with lid and cook for 3 more minutes
  • Remove from pan and set aside on chopping block
  • Now add onions and green bell peppers to the pan. Saute until crisp, about 3 minutes. This will add flavor from all the juices & bits of sausage left behind
  • Slice the cooked italian sausage in 1 inch pieces and add them back to the pan
  • Mix well so that veggies get the the spicy awesome flavor from the cooked sausage

Cook for 2 more minutes, transfer to serving dish

    How to make Italian Sausage
    Make sure you let the cooked Italian sausage rest for 3 to 5 minutes before cutting them into slices. This will ensure the juices don't run away and keep the sausage moist and juicy! Buon Appetito!
