TUNA FISH CAKES

Ingredients
  

To Make Fish Cakes

  • 2 steaks Sashimi/Sushi grade Tuna - roughly minced
  • 1/2 Onion - finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic - Minced
  • 3 tbsp Veg. Oil
  • 1 tbsp Green Chili/Ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander/Cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro - chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

For Dipping Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Fish Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro - chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp water - to dilute sauce - optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the ingredients, except veg. oil, listed under 'To Make Fish Cakes' in a mixing bowl.
  • Make round patties out of uncooked tuna mixture.
  • Heat pan, add veg oil. Once oil is hot reduce heat to medium low and cook tuna fish cakes. 2 minutes per side.
  • Remove tuna fish cakes to a plate with paper towel to soak up excess oil.
  • While the tuna fish cakes rest, make dipping sauce as follows: Mix fish sauce, lemon juice, cilantro, salt & water in a small serving bowl.
  • Place Dipping Sauce in serving plate in the middle and put Tuna Fish Cakes around it.
  • Wallah! Your Tuna Fish Cakes are ready!
