- Cast iron skillet
Ingredients
- 4 pcs chicken thighs
- 1 onion sliced in rounds for plating/garnish
- 1 cup Spring MIX precut & prewashed salad mix
- dash of sea salt, crushed black pepper, paprika & garlic powder sprinkle of each chicken thigh to taste
- 2 tbsp canola oil you can also use avocado oil
Instructions
- Sprinkle each chicken thigh with salt & pepper on both sides. Sprinkle garlic powder and paprika on side without skin. Next place the chicken thighs skin side down in a preheated, hot cast iron skillet with canola oil already in it
- Sear chicken thighs skin side down for 7 minutes, turn off heat and turn them upside down with skin side now up
- Next in a preheated oven at 425* F place cast iron skillet with seared chicken thighs for 20 minutes. Remove chicken from oven and transfer it to serving plate on top of Spring Mix. Place sliced onions around the chicken and garnish with slices of lemon juice
- Wallah your perfectly cooked cast iron skillet is ready!
