It's hard not to fall in love with this easy & delicious noodle dish! Instant noodles flavored with Kecap Manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce) garlic powder, red chili sauce. Enhanced with egg omelet slices and garnished with sesame seeds.

Equipment

  • 1 Wok/Saucepan

Ingredients
  

  • 150 grams instant noodles
  • 3 cups water to boil/cook noodles
  • 2 tbsp cooking/veg. oil
  • 2 eggs - whisked/beaten
  • 2 tbsp Kecap Manis (sweet Indonesian soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp regular soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red chili sauce - Siracha or Sambal Oelek
  • 1/4 tsp roasted garlic powder or fresh garlic
  • 1/4 tsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Bring water to a boil in a wok or saucepan
  • Add instant noodles - cook/boil for 3 minutes
  • Remove noodles with tong, set aside. Discard water
  • In same wok add cooking/veg. oil
  • Once oil is hot add whisked eggs. Spread eggs to make thin omelet
  • Roll omelet with spatula and remove from pan
  • Cut rolled omelet into thin slices/strips, set aside
  • Now add back cooked instant noodles that we had set aside
  • Add Kecap Manis, soy sauce, chili sauce & garlic powder
  • Mix well then add omelet slice
  • Toss everything in wok/saucepan
  • Transfer to serving bowl after 30 seconds
  • Garnish with sesame seeds
