TUNA TATAKI
Yellow Fin Tuna steaks pan seared for a minute, keeping the inside pink, then layered on a bed of red onions, pickled jalapeno peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, micro greens, pickled ginger slices & fresh lemon. Finally drizzled with Ponzu sauce

- 2 Yello Fin Tuna Steaks
- salt to taste
- 1/2 Red onion thinly sliced
- 1/4 English cucumber thinly sliced in rounds with skin on
- 1 Scallion/green onion finely chopped
- 5 Cherry tomatoes cut in half
- 5 Pickled Jalapeno pepper slices available at any supermarket
- 1/2 cup Ponzu sauce available at supermarket or at Asian grocery stores Gastro Guru's Ponzu sauce recipe to be posted here soon
- 5 Pickled ginger slices
Slice red onion & cucumber, finely chop scallion-green onion, cut cherry tomatoes. Set aside
Salt 2 Yellow Fin tuna steaks, pan sear them on high heat, transfer to a plate. Cut into thin slices on cutting board if not pre-sliced
In a soup bowl layer the onions, top them with seared tuna slices, keep layering scallions, jalapeno pepper slices. In the middle create a well and place cucumber & tomato slice
Now pour Ponzu sauce all over the the tuna and veggies in circular motion. Garnish with lemon wedges and pickled ginger slices
